It certainly has been an interesting 6-months. After winning the special election on February 9th, I was officially sworn into office on February 22nd. Three days later I introduced my first piece of legislation… Bill - A10011..a bill to repeal the MTA Payroll Tax. From day one, I have been fighting to rein in the out of control spending that has put us in this terrible fiscal situation and bring tax relief to all New Yorkers. Getting out of this crisis requires quite a few changes…some painful, but all necessary. We need to make New York a more “business-friendly” state so we can attract companies of all sizes that will in turn bring, not just jobs, but good paying, career opportunities. We need to change the tax and spend philosophy of government and take a sensible, fiscally responsible approach.
